If you have real estate trust account you are required to have two on-site visits per year to audit your trust account. If you don't then you are in breach of your requirements and could have your license cancelled or face heavy penalities from the Office of Fair Trading.

The moment you open a Real Estate Trust account you must advise the Office of Fair Trading of the appointment of your auditor.

Should you decide to close your trust account you must do a final report within the specified time to ensure your compliance with Financial Agents Service Act and report this to the Office of Fair Trading.
